(the condensed version)
I believe in God and therefore a Spiritual Existence (within this life and beyond). Personally, I do not believe in any one formal religion.
I believe that we should live good lives and do the things that we know are right. I believe in using the Golden Rule as a guide and that we should be tolerant of other people and respect their beliefs and religions. I believe in Karma (or simply put "what goes around comes around") and that it often happens in this life (periodically) but it could also happen in our next existence.
I believe that good and evil do exist. I believe that we reap the rewards and pay the price for our actions. I believe in the Heaven and Hell concept but not in the way that it is taught in many religions. I tend to believe more in the Karma/Reincarnation idea than the idea that this life is the one and only test followed by a permanent Heaven or Hell for eternity. I also believe that Heaven and Hell exist right here on earth. So my Heaven/Hell belief is actually kind of a mix between the Christian Heaven/Hell concept and the Karma/Reincarnation concept.
Additional Thoughts:
If there is no life or spiritual existence after death then I would imagine that it might just be like sleeping with no dreams or nightmares. I guess there could be some comfort in that but it sounds boring to me.
